Penne alla Vodka

This creamy, spicy homemade vodka sauce is baked in the oven with penne and topped with gooey melted mozzarell and fresh basil.

You will need a 28 oz can of whole tomatoes, 3 cups penne, 5 garlic cloves, 1/4 cup vodka, 1 onion, and 1/2 tsp chili flakes

Add the chopped onion and smashed garlic to a dutch oven or pan and cook until translucent

Add the vodka and pepper flakes. Crush the tomatoes into the pot. Bake at 350 for 75 minutes

Then blend the sauce together until smooth

You can use a blender or food processor to blend it!

Spread the sauce into a baking dish and add the 1/4 cup of heavy cream.

Add the cooked penne and fresh mozzarella on top. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes
