Make the plum jam. Combine the plums, sugar, brown sugar, and chai spice in a pot and cook until very thick and paste-like,
Make the shortbread crust. Combine the flour, butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla until crumbly.
Press most of the shortbread crust into a square 8x8 baking pan.
Spread the jam in an even layer on top of the shortbread crust.
Sprinkle the reserved shortbread crumbles on top of the jam. Bake at 350 for 33-40 minutes. Enjoy!
