You will need pecans, vanilla, salt, butter, flour, cream, sugar, and honey.

First make the shortbread cookie dough.

Then press it into a square 8x8 baking pan. Bake at 350 for 18-20 minutes. Set aside to cool.

Then make the caramel. Cook the caramel over medium-high heat for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.

Pour the caramel into a bowl with the pecans, vanilla, salt, and flour and mix to combined.

Transfer the caramel to the top of the baked shortbread. Bake in the oven for 10-13 minutes, then sprinkle with flaky sea salt and enjoy!
