Creamy Loaded Mac and Cheese Recipe

This loaded mac and cheese is the ultimate comfort food. Creamy, rich, and stuffed with four cheese, bacon, and caramelized onions...it's homemade mac and cheese to a new gourmet level!

Cook 6 strips of bacon in a dutch oven until crispy then set aside. Then cook 1 yellow onion until caramelized, about 35 minutes.

Mix together 6 oz cream cheese, 2 cups cheddar, 1 cup gouda, 1 cup gruyere, 1 tsp mustard, 1 1/2 cup milk, and 1 cup of heavy cream in the dutch oven.

Add in the crispy bacon bits and the caramelized onions and mix until well combined.

Boil 12 ounces of elbow macaroni until just under al dente, then add to the pot with the milk and cheeses.

Mix everything together and top with an extra 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese on top. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
