Snickerdoodles without Cream of Tartar

These snickerdoodle cookies are made without cream of tartar and feature a soft and chewy texture with rich dark cocoa powder and crunchy cinnamon sugar.

– ½ cup butter  – 1 cup dark brown sugar – 1 egg – 1 tsp vanilla – ¾ tsp lemon  – 1 cup flour – ¼ cup cocoa  – ½ tsp baking soda – ¼ tsp salt – ⅛ cup sugar  – ¼ tsp cinnamon

Cream the butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl

Add the egg, vanilla and lemon juice and mix

Add the dry ingredients and fold into the dough with a spatula

Scoop the dough onto a parchment lined baking tray

Roll each cooking in cinnamon sugar then bake at 350 for 12 minutes
